The Métis Nation of Ontario’s Annual General Assembly (“AGA”) is Métis self-government in action. Every year, MNO leadership and citizens from Métis communities across Ontario gather to make their voices heard, review the past year’s successes, and set a course for the coming year. This year’s AGA is one that you won’t want to miss!
AGA 2026 is being held at Fort William Historic Park in beautiful Thunder Bay from August 14 to 16, 2025. All Métis citizens are encouraged to participate.
We are excited to host the return of an MNO AGA ‘We Aspire’ Golf Tournament. We can also look forward to the President’s Welcome and Canoe arrival on Thursday night, with lots of exciting activities throughout the weekend including children’s activities at Camp AGA, the Kooshkopayiw Métis Art Council Exhibit, vendor fairs, a gala dinner and more!

On behalf of the Provisional Council of the Métis Nation of Ontario (PCMNO), we warmly welcome you to the 2025 Métis Nation of Ontario Annual General Assembly (AGA) taking place this week in Sault Ste. Marie, at the heart of Métis rights and a birthplace of Métis resistance.
Each year brings its share of obstacles and victories, and 2025 has been no exception. Through it all, the strength of our Métis identity—rooted in perseverance, pride, and community—has guided us forward.
As we come together for our 32nd AGA, this is a time to reconnect, reflect, and renew our shared vision. Your voices, efforts, and commitment continue to shape the path ahead for the Métis Nation of Ontario.
